Abstract Lignocellulosic materials are important, cheap and abundantly available biomass feedstock, which include agricultural waste or residues, micro algae, forestry urban solid wastes for the production of fuels platform chemicals. These renewable energy supplies assist in decreasing dependence on fossil fuels, greenhouse gas emissions thus environmental pollution. The various stages necessary conversion lignocellulosic to biofuels bio products pre-treatment, hydrolysis, fermentation product recovery. However, there many challenges that need be overcome successful into useful commercial while minimizing formation by-products at same time. Each technology involved bioconversion has its own characteristics limitations. A general overview different technologies is explored, assessed analysed this study. most likely an indispensable source economic bioproducts because availability sustainability. have potentials decrease use imported resources providing benefits. development clean, green will pave way commercialization.
